๐Ÿ“œ Rules โ€” Classic ruleset

Your bracket

  • Top 10: ten movies, ranked 1โ€“10. Each movie can be used once.
  • Dark Horses: three more picks (slots 11โ€“13).
  • Replacement Pick: one optional extra, used only if a selection loses eligibility.
  • Every save becomes your active bracket. You can edit until the submission deadline.

Scoring

  • All grosses are domestic (U.S. & Canada) box office only โ€” not worldwide/global.
  • Top 10: only movies finishing in the actual final Top 10 score points. Points = 10 โˆ’ |predicted rank โˆ’ actual rank|. (Predicted #1, finishes #1 = 10 pts; predicted #4 finishes #6 = 8 pts; finishes outside the Top 10 = 0.)
  • Dark Horses: 1 point if the movie finishes in the Top 13. No ranking-difference scoring.
  • Total: Top 10 points + Dark Horse points.
  • Standings score live off current domestic box office during the season and finalize when the season ends.

Replacement logic

If a selected movie loses eligibility, lower-ranked picks shift up automatically, Dark Horses move up, and your Replacement Pick becomes the final Dark Horse.

Eligibility & the locked slate

  • Eligible movies must have a theatrical release and report domestic grosses. Streaming-only titles are not eligible.
  • A movie must be on the official slate before submissions close. Once the slate locks, no movies can be added or become eligible โ€” a film excluded before the deadline stays excluded even if it becomes a top grosser.
  • Weekend estimates are shown marked EST and replaced by finalized figures.

Tiebreakers

  1. Most exact picks.
  2. Highest verified bench press max (video evidence; commissioner verifies).
  3. Still tied โ†’ co-champions.

Re-releases, release windows & date changes

  • Summer 2026 release window: April 24 โ€“ September 7, 2026.
  • The entire continuous theatrical run of an eligible movie counts, including grosses earned past September 7th โ€” the film just has to release before September 7th.
  • Re-releases do not count toward grosses if a film has left theaters and then returns. The exception: if a film re-releases within the eligible window, that re-release is eligible.
  • If a film moves out of the eligible release window, Replacement Pick logic applies. If a player has more than one pick leave the window after submissions lock, individual leagues may evaluate case-by-case โ€” but the Global League allows no further replacements.
  • If a film gets an expanded release mid-run, it stays eligible as long as it was continuously in theaters.
